Subject: Unique style of story
I liked the style and the story. The characters' names are never revealed. Their locations or occupations are not revealed. These are left ambiguous, but
...
the story is still engaging - perhaps moreso without these details. An interesting love story!
But it WAS quite preachy. Apparently a woman who isn't (or can't be) a wife and mother cannot fulfill her Womanhood. The only purpose of humanity is to perpetuate itself. Ugh. I must chalk it up to the era in which the author lived, on the cusp of women's suffrage and women entering careers.
Still, the prose poetry was great. The reader did a good job (I thought) of conveying the thoughts. (There were several mispronounced words, but she mispronounced them with confidence.)
